The interesting thing is that these hubs are often regarded as one of the "faster" ones in that they seem to have very little resistance/friction and spin for a very long time on the stand. It's funny to hear White Industries hubs mentioned here because I was afraid to admit I had just put down a deposit to have a wheelset built with them - and part of the reason I picked them was because they were of moderate volume (people seem to put them around 5-6 on a scale from 1=Shimano to 10=Chris King), although they are a bit louder now with twice the points of engagement than they used to, I think.
